What does it man if a mirror falls of the wall for no reason and does not break???

Ok, last night about 4am in the morning we heard a large bang.
My husband found our large mirror had fallen of the hook on the waal and hand landed ontop of the radiator.
Whats up with that i hear you say.
I have heard (i think) if a mirror or picture falls of the wall for no reason it ment something?? what i dont know.

The string was not broke, the hook was still in the wall, the mirror did not break so there was no reason for it at all and we were all in bed asleep.

This has happened once before about a year ago, the same as before
OOOOOOOOps i forgot to spell check, so please don’t blag my spelling .
I have had a rough week.

You may have a spirit trying to make its presence known. Try looking in the mirror an extra lot the next few days – see if anybody shows.

Or, it may simply be that you or the husband needs to "look" at something in your lives and "see" what’s really happening.

    Good luck.

Either you fitted the mirror with a trick rope, or there are some spooky goings on, try a séance.

  6. Inquisitor #1 Says:

It means you have a durable mirror and a neighbor with loud music.

  7. Beanbag Says:

It must mean that you are very lucky.

It wasn’t to do with a mirror, but I had a very "strange" experience recently with a painting:

My Aunt died in July and we were clearing her flat. She used to sit in a particular chair and a painting of our local church (one she had been involved with practically all her 84 years) hung above her. When I reached up to remove it, it virtually fell down immediately – the nail was bent over at such an angle that I have no idea how the painting has stayed in that position for the last few years without falling down on her head. Divine intervention and protection or what?!

  8. Sam L Says:

It means you don’t have to buy a new mirror. Go to a hardware store and get those heavy duty wall hangers. Ask the clerks.
    Ciao.

  9. Dharmanator Says:

First of all, there is never ‘no reason’. It may have been vibration from a passing train or truck, or an aftershock tremor from a distant quake. It is quite possible that the string wasn’t sitting right on the hook in the first place and was balanced on the edge of the hook always waiting for that little vibration to set it off.

It didn’t break because the bottom edge hit squarely and distributed the shock evenly – no one area took enough force to cause a break.

Your wall fixings are cr*p. Get better fixings for a heavy mirror.

  11. emmaloubeeee Says:

must mean it jumped off the wall! Or you have a ghost who likes playing with your mirrors

  12. susie Says:

I haven’t heard any sign of that. My bf says you have an entity or spirit in your house making it’s self known and heard.

  15. aMzIeBaBy Says:

thats happened to me a few times, but mines was just due to placing the mirror on the wall incorrectly, the nail was still in the wall the rope was still attached to the mirror, it just happens, don’t speculate too much in superstitions

  16. Safiyya2 Says:

It means you need more than just one "hook" to hold that mirror up.

  17. Angie N Says:

Mirrors can be pretty frisky when they want to be. They are portals to other dimensions when they are steamed up. Maybe something tried to get through but it fell instead. Sounds like you got lucky with that one Hon.

  18. blueeyesmidnightdragon Says:

the bad luck from broken mirrors comes from an earlier time when mirrors were expensive.the seven years being how long it took to save for a new one ,it was also thought that the reflection was your soul or ghost !

  19. aslam Says:

    7 years bad luck

  20. Dart Swinger Says:

Draw a pentagram on the floor where the mirror landed, and see if you can conjure up any spirits.

Also light some candles and burn incense.

As i, turn up the collar on my
    Favourite winter coat
This wind is blowin my mind
I see the kids in the street,
    With not enough to eat
Who am i, to be blind?
    Pretending not to see
    Their needs
    A summers disregard,
    A broken bottle top
    And a one mans soul
    They follow each other on
    The wind ya know
cause they got nowhere to go
Thats why I want you to know

Im starting with the man in the mirror
Im asking him to change his ways
    And no message could have
    Been any clearer
If you wanna make the world
    A better place
    (if you wanna make the

Ive been a victim of a selfish
    Kind of love
    Its time that I realize
That there are some with no
Home, not a nickel to loan
    Could it be really me,
    Pretending that theyre not alone?

    A willow deeply scarred,
    Somebodys broken heart
    And a washed-out dream
    (washed-out dream)
    They follow the pattern of
    The wind, ya see
Cause they got no place to be
Thats why Im starting with me
    (starting with me!)

Nothing, i think, except you’re lucky you don’t have to clean up glass…

  27. Markymark Says:

It ‘means’ that the supporting screws finally gave weigh – probably due to a vibration from a car/plane – the starw that broke the camel’s back scenario.

The fact it didn’t break ‘means’ that the force of falling didn’t create enough energy to crack the glass.

    Grow up.

  28. andy g Says:

stop being silly it just happens lorrys low flying aircraft cause vibration and things happen grow up

  29. Tempest T Says:

To be quite honest, I would have to see the hook. Is it a real "hook" to the point that you have to lift the mirror a certain distance before removing the string from the hook, or is it just a nail?

Most people do not realize that there are seismic tremors all over the world at various places and at various times. We almost never notice them because they are so slight. However, they are strong enough to make your pictures on the walls tilt and become crooked. They are often strong enough to make pictures or other items fall to the ground as well.

To avoid any misunderstandings, you would need to contact your local seismologist to see what kind of activity took place at 4 am yesterday.

  30. ANF Says:

A bit of a draught from somewhere.

  31. anna Says:

It means you don’t need to shell out for a new mirror.
It may mean that you are on an important airplane path and the vibration caused the mirror to fall.
Or the same could happen on a main bus or heavy transport route.

  32. CKAT Says:

Maybe you have burgalars, Watch ur back! But you shouldn’t worry about stupid stuff like superstions, by dad breaks mirrors all the time!!! People in our country (Sri Lanka) do not follow road rules, my dad has this weird thingy of trying to correct them and crosses to get to the front from the wrong side (to teach giving space to faster drivers) and breaks their side mirror at the same time (and ours too), so that means 14 years of bad luck but on the same day my dad got promoted and we got a 42 inch LCD screen TV free from sony (my dad works in sony). We all break more mirrors now.

  33. Wolf guy lupine Says:

It probably didn’t hit the ground with enough force to break.

  34. phil Says:

i think you need to attach the mirror more safely on the wall.

  35. Mel L Says:

it’s spooky, i mean try anytime you want to let a mirror fall and it will always break..but this time…. well, i’m sure there is the work of a ghost or soemthing..maybe soemone dear to you died and want to see you and attract your attention

Thst it you must get the house blessed and get the psychics in ~

  38. Silver Says:

Mirrors symbolize many things. Firstly one if not both of you should look back in your life. focus on the different things that each of you have done to get to where you are today. If you hurt someone along the way it might be time to try to nake amends.

If that is not the case of the falling mirror then there might be a spirit in the house. Most will say that looking directly at the source of the spirit will not reveal it to you. I see spirits around me on numerous ocasions, usually when i need counsel from the Lord and Lady the most.

I see the spirits out of the corner of my eye when i least expect it. like a shadow moving along the wall where nobody else is present, or a flicker of light in a dark corner of the room i am in. Once i have even seen a disoloration in a mirror that sits on my mantle.

  39. Jennifer B Says:

I don’t know, but I had a similar experience when I was a child (around 8 or so). We had just moved from Illinois to Oregon and were renting a house we knew nothing about (past history) My mom and dad had been arguing earlier that evening. Anyway, sometime in the middle of the night we heard a big crash. A picture (not a mirror) that my mom made "Today is the first day of the rest of your life…" was laying against the wall on the opposite side of the room!!! The nail was still in the wall, the wire it was hung with was still on the picture and the glass had remained unbroken even though it had seemingly been flung across the room. My mom and dad were still in bed and were just staring. All of us kids (3 of us) had ran in to see what was happening. We still have no explanation as to what happened that night. We did have several other incidences at the house which actually caused us to move back to Illinois. FYI – I’m 40 years old and still remember this very vividly and my mother is Wiccan and has always been, even before it was popular to be so

  40. David S Says:

its a strong mirror their could of been a tremor in the house its happened to me when a door closed

  41. jadore7 Says:

I always think it strange that these kind of things only happen to a certain type of person.
