Do you like the beginning of my novel excerpt? FEEDBACK PLEASE!?!?

Prologue:
Bella Beckham personified Hollywood glamour with an unparalleled glow and energy that enamored the world. Although she was an alluring beauty with voluptuous curves and a generous pout, she was more than a beautiful sex goddess. Her apparent vulnerability and innocence, in combination with an innate sensuality, slowly endeared her to the global consciousness. She dominated the age of movie stars to become, without question, the most famous woman of the 20th Century.

The New York Times
When Bella Beckham was a fourth grader, her teacher asked the class to make a “vision board” — a collage of images cut out from magazines that represents the dreams and aspirations you hope to manifest in life. The year was 2002 and Britney Spears had just won a Grammy Award, so nine-year-old Bella chose a photo of the young and successful pop singer holding her golden statuette. Seven years later Bella has been nominated for her first Grammy Award in the “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” category for her ubiquitous No. 1 single, "Wish You Were Here," from her platinum Top 10 album Make Love Not War, and has been chosen as this year’s My GRAMMY® Moment artist. Current sales check in at over 2 million albums and more than 13 million tracks, singles and mobile product globally.
“I found my vision board when I moved apartments recently,” says Beckham, now 16. “I knew where I wanted to be even as a young kid. I just didn’t know that if I put one foot in front of the other, I would actually get there someday.”

Bombshells. Sex kittens. Pin-up girls. In Hollywood, such creatures have always been in plentiful supply. But just about once in a generation, a bona fide sex symbol will come along to stand out from the pack: some beautiful sex-bomb goddess whose mere photograph is enough to flutter the collective pulse and whose appearance on a red carpet causes both flashbulbs and eyes to pop. These women are synonymous with the S-word because they make men think impure thoughts rather than associate them with any particular movie role, product or publicist-constructed persona.
Every era gets the sex symbol it deserves — at least, so goes pop cultural thinking on the matter. What then to make of Bella Beckham? To be sure, she is the newest "it" girl to ascend into the vaunted pantheon of sex-bomb goddesses.

Glamour Magazine
When Bella Beckham was a little girl, she would sing along on her mini plastic tape recorder to Michael Jackson and Britney Spears hits and get twirled in the air in daddy’s arms to the sounds of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. The precocious child would dance around the table at fancy Upper West Side restaurants using the breadsticks as a baton and she would innocently greet a new babysitter in nothing but her birthday suit.
It’s no wonder that little girl from a good Italian New York family, turned into the exhibitionist, multi-talented singer-songwriter with a flair for theatrics that she is today: Bella Beckham.

MJ FANS: is Thriller an overrated album?

do you think it’s only a huge success because of the Thriller video and because of the Moonwalk from Billie Jean?

it may not be my favorite album, Bad is, but i definitely don’t believe that this album is overrated. yeah, it’s true that whenever somebody says Michael Jackson, most people think of Thriller or Billie Jean…but i think it’s because this album is such a classic and it’s so epic. it put him straight to the top. i dunno, i never get tired of this album either, especially of Thriller and Billie Jean and Beat It! plus, Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ is one of my top favorite songs lol ;D

Michael’s albums are all classics, but this album is just great. all my opinion.

let me know what you think! love you guys

Why do people continue to Say Michael Jackson had "no hair" after the burn accident? When that is not true?

OK…So you mean to tell me this BAD ERA photo.
this wasn’t his hair?

IS IT NOT THE SAME?

No Michael wasnt bald, hard to believe this man EVER WAS BALD

http://www.lasentinel.net/UserFiles/File/070902/mjackson1974.jpg

Anyway Yes Michael wore weaves and wigs and lacefronts,
But doesnt mean he didnt have hair
Just like me.
I have long hair but do i always wear it? No.
Of course not. I like attention rofl.

Anyway just to let you know the difference

This is a weave

http://blackchristiannews.com/news/images/michael-jackson.accrep.jpg

and this is a lacefront

http://www.creations-by-mandyb.com/Michael_Jackson_on_trial.jpg

The weaves Michael wore were never full head sown, they always had his hair out in the front

HE WASNT FREAKIN BALD
and even if he were it wouldnt matter, people are ignorant and try to say "oh mj’s hair was fake msot of the time"
when it wasnt!!!

I’m sorry it just irritates me….the ignorance of people.

So you aks "well why did michael even wear a weave if he could grow his hair"

Well for one,m he was in his 50s, men tend to loose their hair ANYWAY when they get older, and on top of that Lupus makes you loose your hair too, which is what he had, and he treated it.
(when your Michael Jackson there is not a price on medicine for your health)

Anyway When your an African american with a certain hair texture you have to perm your hair to get it in a jheri curl, well perms are a verrrryyy unhealthy chemical so that stunted how long his hair was ab;le to grow.

ANY QUESTIONS?

also don’t forget to answer mines.

oh and btw
this is MJ’s hair

Stemming from 54's question: Why isn't hip hop respected?

No critic would call Illmatic or Paid in Full or anything the greatest album of all time. Not many fans of hip hop would either. Sh*t, even when you ask rappers, they always give you an answer like Thriller or What’s Going On.. whenever somebody puts a top 100 albums of all time, you might see only 2 or 3 hip hop albums. Why?

I think it’s because all the people who put these lists together are older, and grew up during the time when The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, etc. were popular and selling ridiculous amounts. So then, if that’s true, will we see more hip hop in GOAT lists in the future when this generation gets older, considering it’s popularity in the 90s and 00s?

How can I convince my grandma to take me to Best Buy tomorrow?

Well, I was just looking around the internet and I found this album that I have been looking for since FOREVER may be being sold at Best Buy, and I want to go to best buy to see if they actually have in the store so I can get it.
How can I convince my grandma to take me there???
If it is there, the money is no problem.

I don’t know how I can get her to take me there, since I’m not 100% sure the album is actually there.
(the website says that they have it… but I can’t buy over the internet.)I want to check if they have it.

The most I can think you doing off the top of my head is "Grandma, PLEASE TAKE ME TO BEST BUY SO I CAN SEE IF THEY HAVE IT! PLEASE! I have been looking for that album FOREVER! PLEASE!" That’s too childish, right?
*If anyone cares, the album I’m looking for is the HIStory album, by Michael Jackson.*

Please help me!!!!! If I get a great suggestion, I’ll pick it for best answer

Beckham’s willful determination, not to mention her songwriting and vocal talent and larger-than-life charisma, have led to an astonishing year for the saucer-eyed, raven-haired pop starlet, who, with her cheeky sense of humor and sexy pin-up girl style, was “the breakthrough star of 2008” as Blender magazine put it in the issue that featured Beckham on the cover.

OF COURSE it is not like this for the whole novel. it is just used in the beginning to illustrate how famous Bella really is..
